ABOUT NANOWEATHER INC.
The prefix nano- means "billionth". It reflects our focus on weather at a scale roughly a billion times smaller than what is resolved by traditional weather forecasts.
NanoWeather specializes in microclimate research, technology, and forecasting. Founded in 2006, the company is headquartered in Norman, Oklahoma, USA.
NanoWeather was founded by meteorologist Matt Haugland. Dr. Haugland has taught meteorology classes for students representing over 100 National Weather Service offices across the U.S., and has published scientific papers on a variety of topics related to boundary layer meteorology. In a competition sponsored by the National Inventors Hall of Fame, he was voted as America's top collegiate inventor of 2006. That year, he was given the title "Master of Microclimates" by Weatherwise Magazine.
